OC Salt Therapy
The first Salt Therapy facility in Orange County, California is offering the opportunity to discover and experience one of the secrets of Mother Nature, SALT.
Salt therapy is 100% drug free, is natural and presents no side effects. It provides long term relief from respiratory problems.
Salt therapy is in England, Canada, USA, Slovakia, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, Romania, and Australia
There are 3 private rooms made of pure salt and it’s on the floor as well. You leave your shoes off and go in comfy clothes that you don’t mind getting salty. Each room has 3 lounge chairs, a TV mounted on the wall with Netflix for the kids, and some sand toys as well.
Apparently, salt therapy started in the 1800’s in Poland and a doctor found that the people that worked in the salt mines were very healthy and happy, while all the other minors were getting sick and dying. There was a Doctor that opened a hospital inside the salt mine and cured and helped thousands of people! ( Read more History here )
Although, neither me nor my daughter have any real health problems (besides occasional allergies for me) I still love to detox and get all of the amazing health benefits that you can read about below.

How it works?
Salt therapy or Halo therapy (Halos Greek for Salt) is an alternative treatment in a salt room, which reproduces the unique microclimate found in natural salt caves. Salt therapy is effective in treating a variety respiratory disorders and skin conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, cystic fibrosis, eczema and psoriasis.
Salt Therapy is 100% natural, drug-free and non-invasive.
Dry aerosol micro particles of salt are dispersed by a Halo generator into the salt room during a 45-minute session. The particles, measuring below 5 microns in diameter, penetrate deep into the lungs, bronchi, bronchioles and alveoli. As the salt is inhaled it travels through the sinuses and respiratory tract absorbing moisture, clearing mucus and killing bacteria, reducing inflammation, widening of the airway passages, cleansing residual tar and foreign allergens, and improving immune system.
safe for kids?
Yes. Dry Salt therapy is a completely drug-free treatment for children and adults.
Children as young as 3 months have benefitted greatly and respond quickly and effectively to Halo therapy. At OC salt therapy they make it really easy to bring in the kids! There is a TV with Netflix and they are also fun sand toys to keep the kids busy during a treatment!
What to wear?
Comfortable clothing is recommended for the salt room. You should change into clothing that exposes areas of skin you would like the salt to reach (shorts, sleeveless shirts, skirts, etc).
The salt bed is ideal for skin exposure and is private. They recommend wearing a bathing suit to expose the skin you want treated.
