A true winter wonderland!
My husband and I got away to visit whistler this time without the kids, but it is a fantastic family vacation as well. Getting there is lengthy but the drive is spectacular. You’ll have to fly into Vancouver, which is about a 3 hour flight from LAX if you go direct. Then you can either shuttle or rent a car to get to Whistler Village. It’s about a 2 hour drive from Vancouver airport.
I highly recommend using SKY LYNX. This is a high end shuttle service, that is warm, clean and very comfortable. It’s super easy to find in the airport and they direct you right to your bus so it’s not confusing to navigate at all.
Where to Stay?
Whistler Village is the best place to be, and they don’t have free shuttles everywhere (like mammoth) to get you to the lifts. They also don’t have uber or lyft drivers in Canada, and although Taxis are available, they are hard to come by in the village.
Therefore, unless you rented a car make sure you stay somewhere really close by so you can walk to the lifts and walk to dinner and Apres (Happy Hour) !
Where to Eat
Make sure you get on open table before you go and book some dinner reservations! All of the good restaurants in the village get booked up pretty fast!

Here are a few of my favorite places for Dinner..
This place was so good and really fun for families or larger groups! The food was pretty good, and the drinks were fantastic!
We had reservations here the second night and it was by far the best food! It is a little pricey but totally worth it.
The best steak in Whistler. Great place for families, groups or even just a couple. Warm Fireplace. Excellent location!
APRES!
