DIY Window treatments for under $30.00

If you know me, it’s probably no surprise to you that I love re decorating my house! I love making it feel new and fresh and I especially love when I can do it without spending a bunch of money!

I love this option because it still let’s the natural light in but it’s also UV protectant and gives privacy at night too! They make several different designs and colors so you can choose something that goes with your decor. I chose this clear with a little sparkle as the light comes through because it matches everything and looks really pretty with sunlight.

watch here to see the easy application:

Where do you start?

Step 1: Order the design you like on Amazon and you can shop my favorites HERE

Step 2: Clean your windows and then add warm soapy water.

Application tips

  • This is super easy to do but it’s helpful to do it with a partner.
  • Measure your window and cut as closely as you can before you apply.
  • Make sure you have a squeegee on hand to smooth away air bubbles.
  • You’ll also need a razor blade to cut away any extra and give it a nice clean finish.

If you try this at home comment below and let me know how they turned out!! I would also love to keep in touch with you so go follow me on Instagram and say hi 🙂

Hi friends! It's me thatocmomlife AKA Megan. I'm here to share with you guys all of our favorite places to go and the things we love! I love to showcase fun things to do with kids in the area, beauty products, shopping deals, and our travel adventures! I am a California girl, born and raised. I am married to an amazing man who happens to be Australian. We have two beautiful kids that we like to raise with the American roots and the Aussie roots too! Everything I share here, I truly believe in and I am a stickler with only working with companies that I have personally tried and am comfortable sharing. This platform has given me the greatest gift, and that is to be able to work from home and raise my kids!
