The centennial farm in Orange county is one of my favorite weekday activities with the kids. It is 100% free, it makes for a stress free easy day and it’s always a good time.

Getting Here

The first time we came I was a little confused where to park because the fair grounds are pretty big. I remember seeing a farmers market and some other events but had no idea where to enter the actual farm. Now that i go regularly I can tell you to look for the giant cow and sign. See photo below 🙂
When to come
According to the website you can visit the following days and hours.
HOURS*: MONDAY-FRIDAY, 1-4 P.M.
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, 9 A.M.-4 P.M.
However, in my house naptime is 1pm and we I always try to get out and do morning activities. We usually go around 10am, the gate is always open and they have never said anything to me. If you want to give it a try in the morning I have seen a few others here too – so I guess I am not the only one!
What you'll do here:
My kids love to visit the cows! Then we walk (run) around the gardens and visit the chickens, pigs goats and sheep too!
The farm was created to educate youth about agriculture and its importance to our daily lives. Centennial Farm, a three-acre working farm, is home to fruit and vegetable gardens and an array of livestock. Their animal educators and their human counterparts are here all year long to teach us about nutrition and our agricultural roots.
Depending in the time of year, they sometimes have fun little tractors or props out too! It’s really just a fun place to let the kids roam and explore!

Lunch Time!
I always pack up snacks or lunch so the kids can have a little picnic on the farm before we head home! This circle seems to be the favorite spot everytime!
